This event is our annual conference, set in beautiful Ocean City, MD. Since 1974, this organization has fostered growth as a college instructor specializing in reading, language arts, and instruction. In 1991, we grew to include "writing" in our mission, and for 28 years, we have helped college and university faculty with educating students in, and facilitating programs on, reading and writing.

Designed as a hands-on workshop with a full day with a featured speaker, then additional, related smaller presentations the next day, this conference is one where you will return home with great ideas and useful strategies that you can immediately transfer to the classroom.

Our 2019 Keynote Speaker will be Alexandros M. Goudas, Associate Professor of English at Delta College in Michigan.

This conference is, by far, the most reasonably priced! You can get a hotel room at the terrific Grand Hotel and Spa, along with two days of workshop, presentations, activities, and food for under $250--including all items but dinners! You can bring the family and enjoy the boardwalk, restaurants, and amusements when not in conference. So this event is one the whole family can enjoy!
